Pentagram The Pentagram is an old symbol that is NOT to be confused with the satanic symbol the Baphomet, which is a Pentagram turned upside-down with a goats head drawn in the center. The Pentagram which is a Wiccan symbol is a pure unadulterated star like the one above. The five points of the star are used to represent the 5 elements of nature, Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit or Ether. --another opinion is that the circle represents universal wisdom, the top point the spirit, and the other four, east, west, north and south. Used mainly as a symbol of protection in rituals, worn as an amulet or hung over doors, also for protection. |
